Based on my own experience ESSA BANK AND TRUST Excellent local bank you can use when you need a loan for a commercial or housing. Good checking and saving accounts. Drive through banking. Plus ATM machine drive through. Very Friendly staff. Great service. I highly recommended it.

I've been a loyal customer since 2002. The staff is always friendly. I've never once had even a slight problem with ESSA. GREAT Bank...I highly recommend if you're looking to switch banks of if you're going to open your first account.

Says they are open at 9am, waited in the drive thru for me then 20 minutes still not open.. I think I will be switching banks.. rude staff, can’t never get a hold of anyone for questions.. in my opinion, just a unprofessional bank.

Can only use the drive thru now but staff are fantastic can't wait to opens again.

After having an account at Essa Bank since 1998 I recently ran into some issues with my pension being deposited due to issues with the New York City pension department. After speaking with somebody I was assured that all I had to do was keep money in the bank and my account was stay open. Next thing I get a letter saying they closed my account. When I called up I spoke to Jonathan who told me he called me which was a bold-faced lie. I never spoke to Jonathan. He insisted that he called me and I insisted he did not. He was very short and Curt and I never experienced anybody like this at this Bank in the past. Jonathan works at the Marshalls Creek Branch one of the finest places and that's why I kept my money going there but he is not a good fit.. now my funds are in a turmoil and I don't know when I will be getting a paper check.. by the way I am applied senior citizen and this has really upset my whole life literally. Thanks Jonathan not
