Getting a loan to buy a house can be daunting. A year ago, I worked with a well-known online company to get a loan. It was very, very painful. The sellers backed out at the last minute, so we started over this year. My realtor wisely suggested I contact Select Mortgage. Working with Laura Burdick was a wonderful experience! The difference between last year and this was amazing. Yes, there are lots of details, but Laura made it much, much easier. I really liked knowing that I always spoke to Laura during the process. Because she's in a real office in Erie, if needed, I could have spoken to her face to face. (It was a pleasure to do so at closing!) Talk about accessible, you can reach Laura on her cellphone! I called her on a Saturday morning, and by Sunday morning I had an updated preapproval letter when I went to view a home that afternoon (which we bought). I loved working with Laura. We used Select Settlement for closing and that was totally seamless. I highly recommend working with both sides of their business. Whatever questions arose on the Settlement side were quickly answered by Laura on the Mortgage side. You will really enjoy working with Laura Burdick! She's terrific!

She made the home buying process stress free for me as a first time home buyer with lots of questions, always responded in a timely fashion, and made sure I was a priority while I was purchasing a home in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. Super unprofessional They will try and go with the highest quote from any bank to get more money in their pocket if the deal goes through. Buying a house is supposed to be exciting , well in my case it was nothing but stressful had to switch mortgage brokers randy is super unprofessional so I do not recommend going through select mortgage . He tried to get my boyfriends dad to dip into his retirement fund and hes not even the one trying to get the house he was just gifting us money with closing that's it . This place is a joke his communication skills are unacceptable .

Lisa Esper was wonderful to work with. She is extremely knowledgeable and made the mortgage process extremely easy. She quickly and thoroughly answered any questions I had. Definitely recommend!

So far not too impressed, they quote a cost for one thing and then when we go to have it done it is much more expensive than they quoted. we should have went with our own bank but at the realtors urging we went with Select. now we are $4k into the process with $10k to go, of course that is what was quoted so it will most likely be $15k more to go. to be sure Select mortgage will make sure your bank account is empty by the end of the process.
