Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA), Harrisburg, PA

Working from home is not working for the company or they just have too many new people who were not trained. I did not have any problems for over 10 years but these last two, my account has been messed up several times and you can't get through to a supervisor.

PHFA mortgages DO NOT accept: bi-monthly or bi-weekly payments. They only process payments once a month when the agreed upon amount has been paid in full.

Horrible mortgage company, systemically racist system, barely reports payments, scam deeds (sold a flood zone home, forged paperwork) and no assistance. Lawyers who run up the bill without assistance then called the fraud charges miscellaneous. Imagine a system that’s never checked. They can do whatever they want with no sanctions.

Worst mortgage company ever. Terrible customer service. Charged the wrong banking account and said I wouldn't be able to be reimbursed when it was their fault...

I received multiple calls about a late payment (by a very rude lady). So I continue to check my bank account and it said it was paid. On my end my bank statement said it was. Then called and talk to a gentleman who was having trouble locating the problem. When he did said it was something with escrow and not enough money in it so caused my payments to be behind. So after finding out it was actually behind I paid it that day. Only to look at my credit report a few days later and see that they reported it and destroyed my score by a 100 points!! Very upset because this could of been avoided but there payments never come out on time and I can't get ahold of someone half the time. I am going to dispute it and hopefully can right this.

I pay my mortgage every single month religiously and these morons keep sending me delinquency bills because they don't apply my checks in a timely manner and have all their accounting messed up to the point that they don't even know what is going on. I spend 2 hours a month on the phone with these idiots proving to them that I'm not late or delinquent to do it again the next month. It's not even worth the assistance to deal with these people.

At the advise of my HUD Housing Counselor, On June 10, 2022, I completed an application with the Pennsylvania Homeowners Assistance Fund (PAHAF), at which time my application was placed in line behind thousands of other applicants. On June 23, 2022, my application was assigned a Case Manager. My HUD Counselor and the Case Manager worked on my application and by October 2022, my application was approved and I received partial grant. On February 13, 2023, I received an email from PHFA stating that they were taking over from PAHAF and everything has gone down hill from there. They are the worst!!! I called and was told that I had to update my application and that I would not lose my place in the "line". I updated my application as they requested and now I'm told that I'm in line and that there are thousands of applicants and they cannot tell me when I'll be assigned a Case Manager. I was already assigned a Case Manager so I explained that I should be at the same place - like they said I would be. The 2 women I talked to said that I'm in the same place as I was prior to them taking over so if that is true, I would immediately be assigned a new Case Manager and they should be currently working on my application but I'm not. I know that I have been placed in the back of the line. This is awful and the 2 women I spoke to will not help me so now my application is in the back of the line. PHFA is the worst!!!!

Im writing this review because Ive been working with Nikki A. when I tell you. She's and such a genuine person. She's great at what she does. She made this stressful overwhelming process to be so heart warming. I was so bleed to have worked with her. She needs to be promoted the way she goes out her way. I would recommend her to everyone. This company is luck to have her.
