Please, Run as far as possible from this company. They are dishonest and thieves. They take advantage of people and all terms are in their favor.

They changed the terms on the loan twice. When I questioned it, they refused to correct it. I had a small delay because of some very serious health issues with my father in law and pregnant wife. When I got back to them, they refused to close the loan until I paid their origination fee up front, on top of the appraisal and $500 good faith payment I had already prepaid. I was still within my commitment period and they refused to close the loan when I refused to give them any more money upfront as well as refund me my good faith payment even though i have proof the mortgage broker told me “nothing is nonrefundable” in writing. Stay away from them (Colleen Caine, the underwriter.......Kevin Vanic, business development officer, and Gary Polao, red star mortgage broker who worked with apex to approve me. I have filed complaints with 4 different agencies, including the BBB and the FDIC because of their parent company Firstrust Bank. Unethical, illegal, and they should be held accountable.

Please stay far away from this company. I understand they have to make money, but to wait until the last minute before closing to add many more fees without notice is un ethical. Despite showing them all of their emails where they mentioned nothing of these fees, they told me the day before closing, either pay all of the addition fees or we will not close the loan. I walked away, complete waste of my time! Find a more reputable lender for your situation.

Over the years Apex has consistently helped several of our Borrower regain their traction and revive their Business were Local Banks turned them down we ha e many examples of these transaction. We appreciate Apex not only for their ability to see the Value in our Borrowers but as Commercial MTG Broker Shop whom survived the 2008 Financial CRISIS we appreciate the Fact that Apex survived which has allowed for us to Keep the lights on and Stay Encouraged during the darkest of Days. Apex is not only there for the Clients whom can not walk into the Bank and get approved but there for us MTG Brokers whom understand the value of Consistency in the Market we serve.

APEX IS A HORRIBLE COMPANY!!! No Stars should be given!!! i was told they'd have no problem refunding my payment to them since they're the cause of not following through with the loan and they're a million dollar company !!! WOW why couldn't they refund my $750.00 ... they said they would now they're saying well we ordered your title and it was cancelled, no!!!not the case 1st there would be a small fee for cancellation and I'd received the rest 2nd they never ordered the title!!!! clearly this is how APEX GOT TO BE A MILLION DOLLAR COMPANY on the backs of people who want to become small business owners and since they're so big they can just take people's money even after admitting they were the cause of the deal going wrong and would fully refund the money..do here's my post next the better business Bureau maybe small claim court . oh yeah I have it in writing the money would be returned and now I'm getting lies and excuses..

Giuseppe helped us with our loan request to get some new equipment for our new business. We were thrilled to be approved, but unfortunately for a lower amount than the equipment was. In the end we were approved for what we applied for though. Giuseppe was patient and went back and forth as many times as we asked to see if we could get the total of the equipment. Unfortunately, a relationship with us and Apex wasn't a good fit at the moment, but once we're in business a little longer with better credit we hope to be able to go back and try again. Thanks Giuseppe, for everything!

This company is terrible. They changed the loan terms several times. We were never notified. They don't provide statements. You have no way of monitoring your account online or anywhere else. It took me MONTHS to get an email response. Our building was sent to the Sheriff's office to be sold because they didn't pay the taxes that were rolled into our mortgage. They sent some random lady our tax money, she spent it all, and it took months to resolve. We have excellent credit and should have been done paying years ago. Our loan was for 200K. 18 years later, we still owe 121k. We have paid over a half a million dollars to this company! Nothing makes sense with them. Always excuses and fake accounting. I don't care how much you think you need this loan. Nothing will justify the treatment you will get from them. RUN RUN RUN! We will be on the first train out of this place. They will roll out the carpet if you are calling as a new client. But, check out their service to old clients. It is bogus.

The most insufferable company I've ever had to deal with. The DMV has better customer service and wait times. Save yourself the headache and take your business elsewhere.
