Mariner Finance, Pittsburgh, PA

Literally would give negative stars if I could First off, i would like to go on record and say my credit isn’t the worst. Was just approved for 2 credits cards with relatively high limits to help throughout this process when Mariner was busy doing nothing. I applied for a loan on 6/9. My car broke down and I needed a new engine. I applied online and it took a week for me to hear that it was going to be forwarded to a local branch. I called and the representative I spoke with said they would call me once they received my application from the online database. Fast forward a week. I get a call and they go over a bunch of stuff regarding my finances and employment. The woman i spoke with was extremely rude when I told her I did not recognize an account. i was told they would get back to me. I called in one day to see if I could get an update about my loan status. A man answered and when I asked to speak to the rep handling my case, he said she “just stepped away from her desk”. When I asked if she could return my call when she could, I got a sarcastic “sure” and he hung up! Did not even take my name or phone number. Fast forward ANOTHER week- one week after my call in. I get a call regarding clarification about my employment. I am told I will hear “something soon” Fast forward ANOTHER week- i get ANOTHER call about what repairs to my car need done. That was 10 days ago- have not heard a peep since. It is now 7/8 Moral of the story- I am not convinced this a legit lender. In order to protect myself and my information I am going to file a complaint with the BBB in the hopes they can do something. Safe yourself the time and hassle of going through this lender unless you are in dire need of help! Wish i could save myself the trouble

As ALWAYS, the team at Mariner Finance in Pleasant Hills/Pittsburgh comes through with excellent service and professionalism. Both Mariah and Justin were instrumental in providing prompt results in a time of pandemic and holiday crunch. I've been a returning customer for a few years now and feel comfortable with the loans and products that are offered. Justin is an amazing and exemplary account manager and has been consistently so for the years that I've been a customer. I definitely recommend Mariner and this location for your financial needs!

I tried calling them all morning, not once did I get through to anyone. So I took a ride, walked in and got looked at by all three people sitting at their desks doing nothing, like I was wrong for walking in there. No one said anything to me, so I asked, is this appointment only or? The guy who answered was snippy when he said yes appointment only, so I stated that I had been calling all day and did not get an answer. Brought up that when I called a further location they answered on the first ring both times I called. I was told to just go to their location. Not professional at all.

The staff at Mariner Finance are really helpful in the whole process of what they do. My representative Justin that processed my loan was very professional and made everything easy and quick. I recommend Mariner Finance to anyone that needs a loan. They will definitely help you out in every way especially in these rough times we live in these days.
