Best private student loan rates I've found now for several years. I like the idea of going thru a non-profit rather than a bank just trying to make a buck. Lots of good info on their site to help students understand the loan process and not borrow too much. They only offer fixed rate loans not risky variable rate options. If you need to borrow RISLA has been a good option for us.

RISLA was my last hope for refinancing my ridiculous loans I received from another private bank. RISLA was always super responsive, Abe for instance always answered my calls and was super helpful in the process of refinancing. I would recommend RISLA for any Rhode Island Student I wish I knew of them in my freshmen year, it would've saved me money and stress. Great agency!

RISLA has two things that no other Student loan company has. 1. Fantastic customer service & 2. The best loan rates. All those giving them 1 star are just overachieving angry birds. Good Job RISLA for making my process simple.

This is now my second year using the RISLA loan system and I continue to be extremely disappointed. After hearing such great reviews about it I was excited, however after using the system for 2 years those reviews are far from the truth. I have yet to talk to a customer service rep that wasn’t actively eating in my ear. They also offered little to no help, assuming that I can just “figure it out”. At first I thought maybe it was just a COVID problem until it’s occurred the every single time I need a loan. The disconnect between their partner company, UAS, is absolutely insane with zero communication between the two companies. If you truly care about making college/student loans as easy as possible, stay far away from RISLA.

RISLA is a great way to find a college loan that fits your needs. I have used them for the past 3 years and have had great customer service support. As the parent of a first time college student, the daunting task of completing the paperwork was made much easier by their customer support team. I called with several questions & was always answered in a timely manner. We have worked out payback options that fit our family's budget. I would highly recommend using them for your student loan needs.

They come up with solutions to actually help with the changes and circumstances in your life and it's very refreshing to speak with them. They communicate well, email timely, and are very helpful. I had a really positive experience dealing with a negative situation and I'm very thankful.
