I just wanted to share the experience I had when obtaining a loan from AGSouth. I spoke with several other banks but AGSouth won me over with their speed, efficiency and professionalism in not only getting me a preapproval within 24 hours of my application but then later in how fast they were able to get us through the entire process from contract to closing. My loan officer Jacqueline Grubbs was outstanding. She worked hard for me from the fist phone call to get my husband and i a pre-approval to purchase a beautiful plot of land. Since then she has worked long hours, way over and above what is expected, sometimes i would get emails from her past 10pm. That is true dedication. This was not an easy close, as there seemed to be some complications and confusion from appraisals to the land survey etc. etc. . Jacqueline was always on top of it, relaying information not only to myself (the buyer), but also keeping my lawyers and realtor abreast of what was going on. We have since closed and my husband and I could not be happier. We are very grateful to AGSouth, but it was the person behind the bank... that was Jaqueline. The most amazing experience ever. Bought acreage and used AgSouth for financing. Two Times we were contacted and notified of a rate DROP. No closing fees or hoops- just simply signed 2 papers and they dropped our finance rate. TWO TIMES. Nobody does that. The patronage checks and rate drops has enabled us to cut 4 years off a 15 note. Will use them for home mortgage when we build next year- with service and benefits like this WHY go anywhere else? The Office staff are the best and will walk you carefully through all your options.
