Never had so much of a hassle trying to pay off a loan. After payoff over the phone, I went to get a payoff receipt and was given a handwritten “receipt” and told they had no access to the account after it was paid off…… huh? Told the lady I needed verification of the loan number being paid off with a zero balance. Had to tell her it was for my realtor to get a formal receipt! The practices for paying off the loans comes off as shady, I was given 3 different payoff amounts before being transferred to a manager who told me that her employee may have mistaken what I asked for. Funny how that mistake would have cost me almost $200 more added to the payout. Staff was nice but the business practices during a payoff have never seemed as shady to me as they did this time. I used to be a long time repeat customer for many decades. I will never take out a loan with this company again based on this experience.
