I contacted Black Hills FCU of Pierre to get a home loan estimate. They responded very quickly and worked with me to make a custom in-house since my partner and I do not qualify for the SD Housing Development Authority's First-Time Homebuyer's program. The loan they offered was a pretty good deal, but I ended up going with the bank from my home town since that was going to be slightly better rates and less paperwork. If you live in Pierre and have an account with Black Hills FCU, I'd recommend going through them for your home loan.

Friendly staff, great accounts, fantastic loan rates. This is the bank you want. They will literally do anything to help you!

Love this bank and the people just hate there are so many buttons to push to talk to an actual person.

i have been doing business with this bank for over 2 years and decided for once to take advantage of a program they offered and that was the worst decision ever and trying to get any problem solved is a joke
