OneMain Financial, Sioux Falls, SD

They weren't very helpful. I make around 90k a year and some of my work equipment failed so I applied for $8,000 loan so I didn't have to pull from my bank account. I'm self employed and have proof of work every week since Jan 17, 2021 but I don't have a w-2 yet because the year isn't finished. My credit is lower so I figured a high interest rate would presented. And I offered my paid off car as collateral and i have a co signer They literally said they couldn't do anything for me with me being self employed. I do understand on some sort of a level. but with me having brought in over 80k so far this year with proof of the checks and jobs I did from a very reputable company, a title to my car which is 20k from KBB and having a co signer that makes 45k and has a normal job with stubs from her company And they still said no to 8k I do understand they have to go by company guide lines and policies. But I really hope not all one main financial branches are like this And I unfortunately just got a bad one in Sioux Falls SD, I saw all the great reviews about the customer service and unfortunately mine was not that.

I was surprised how fast the loan application and deposit took, less then 24 hours. I finished the application around 3pm and the money was deposited in my account first thing the next morning. Great service and I love that they have a local branch I can speak to versus having to go through a national service center. I will work with them again!

This may not fit the very definition of predatory lending, however it's as close as you legally can get. AND when you really need their help after 3+ years of continued no late payments, they will not be there to help you up. They will do what they can do to take advantage of you. Stay away! Stay AWAY!

There's hidden fees somewhere in the loans that they give you. They said my monthly rate for a $7,000 personal loan would be $450 with 18% interest for a 60 month term. That just doesn't add up. Went to another institution the next day and got a $7,000 personal loan with 11% interest for $181 a month for a 48 month term. My credit score is nearly perfect, so the rate they gave me doesn't make any sense; this institution seems to be a scam.

This location has some wonderful staff that are always willing to try and help They do what they can to get you the money you need and they don't judge you if you need help. Would highly recommend. Be aware that their loans have high interests rates, they make this crystal clear to you, as with everything else you are signing!

They are always friendly and curtious and willing to help with what I needed and what will help save me money.

They were very busy that day with other phone customers. I appreciated how she had patience and how she took her time. Very professional at her job. I would definitely recommend One Main for anyone who is in a tight financial situation.
