Horrible experience! I went in to open an account today. As soon as the representative saw that I was black, she appeared instantly annoyed and slammed the new account packet on the desk. I greeted her as I walked into the office, but she did not acknowledge my greeting, but asked if I had I.D. When she saw it was from Nebraska, she said "I can clearly see you are not from our normal customer base, so I need you to bring me a utility bill or some other proof of address." (The government paystub showing my current address was not enough). If you are black, don't even waste your time at this credit union. They do not want your business. There are other banks in the area that are much more profession and inclusive I'm sure.

I feel very welcomed here at Explores Credit Union. The staff were very kind quick and efficient at what they do.
My question is, during off hours can I utilize the ATM to deposit pay checks and have those funds available to me on my Explorers Credit Union bank card within a few hours? Just wondering. If not,could a service such as this become available?
In any case I'm enjoying my membership here at your friendly and helpful Credit Union.

This credit union has the worst services and client support. No one ever calls you back. You have the option to send messages online but don’t bother no one gets back to you. I was told I was going to get temp checks with my paperwork and that Paula would order a debit card right away that never happened. I called to inquire about it, the person who answered said she couldn’t see that and she would have a teller call me back, that never happened. When I got my paperwork to sign, No disclosures I didn’t have any additional information like the account number or anything. Not to mention when I did have to go thru drive-up Saturday morning to get money orders cus I transferred my money to this bank and was unable to utilize it the lady was rude and charged me when the reason I couldn’t utilize my account was because they forgot to follow thru.

Staff has always been nice. I utilize the Springfield branch mostly. Nice big drive thru. They made some real nice renovations over these past few years.

Very cool bank. Very friendly and helpful staff. They never make you feel like garbage for banking with them, which some places seem good at.

Slow, have to wait hours for money to be accessable, and when you call all the say is "sorry you just have to wait". But ultimately it's how slow they are to get anything done, I preach credit unions but this one is NOT it.
