They offer nice features with their checking accounts. And local businesses can deposit your paycheck next-day. But if you travel, and I mean travel just 2 hours from Brenham you’ll have your card shut down for what they think is fraud. Don’t worry though you’ll get a email asking if it was. That will give you about 4 more purchases before AGAIN it’s declined while you sit at a 5 star Austin restaurant. There will be no email this time, no you must call a fraud hotline to tell them it’s not fraud. But guess what? They can unlock your card, you can only wait till the next business day for the bank to do that. So now you must jog 6 blocks to the parking garage because the restaurant closes at 10pm and it is 9:47 to get your wife’s wallet. Why? Because it’s her birthday and its also Easter and you told her to leave it. Do not open an account here if you travel or spend what some would consider lavish. This was not the first time I have been made to look a fool or left stranded on a holiday weekend.

Bank has so few benefits for account owners. If you travel, your card will constantly be frozen with no way to reactivate it when you're stranded in the middle of the night with no money. *When* the coin machine works it steals your money (not even kidding, by a HUGE margin) and when I asked about it I was responded to with rudeness. Horrible bank. Put your money elsewhere if you can. I have had so many problems with them and lost hundred of hard earned dollars for nonsense reasons that they said wouldn't happen. They are truly scammers.

I have been with this bank 15 yrs. They are always very helpful. It's a nice feeling to walk in and not just be a number. They call you by your name, always have a smile. Thank you BNB for being there for my family!

We love this bank and have for 13 years. When I call, I love the fact that a live friendly person answers. We have enjoyed many customer appreciation days and never had any issues.

Stay away from Brenham National Bank. They did a software update on their online banking and it has been a nightmare. Go with a large bank that is not from Washington county.
