Citizens National Bank of Hillsboro, Hillsboro, TX

I am a local and have banked with this bank for about four or five years and never had issues until today. Recently my fiancé had opened a business account as well as us already having our joint account for over a year now. I also have a checking and savings account in just my name. I went in this morning to cash a check that was written out to my fiancé that he had signed. I signed my name under his so that I could cash it. Well apparently a man that is new and does not know the rules or basics on banking told me that since my name was not on the check, I could not cash it. Hebkept giving me crazy excuses and also said that it was an issue that I wasn’t married with the same last name even though I share an account with my fiancé with both our names on the account. So if I don’t decide to take his last name it’s like they would probably give me heck about it?! And what business of it is his that we aren’t married. Two people can share an account and it should be able to cash a check! We have an account together but we can’t even cash a check? This tall, redheaded, arrogant, ignorant, young man was obviously on his little power trip. What he doesn’t understand, besides the normal banking rules, is that in a small town, people talk. My fiancé does a lot of hard work for many people in our county... we know and socialize with a lot of people high up in the Hillsboro community. All of them are respectful to each other and we all look out for each other in our small towns. This new guy at the bank has probably had everything given to him by his daddy or whoever and has never probably worked a hard day in his life. What he doesn’t understand is he will ruin the reputation of that bank because no one wants to go to a bank and deal with a jerk.

Just went in there ask the lady if she wouldn't mind giving me change and she looked at the other lady and she said in a snotty voice for what business I said just for my office we ran out . Ha ummm no we only do I for our customers. Really really like 40$ in change and to think we needed a closer bank. Thank you ladies for your hospitality.
