This place is a complete joke!!! Made payments on time for over a year and missed a payment behind 15 days and they repo our vehicle. They said only way to get back was to pay it off!! RICK is a horrible guy.

I'm buying my car from Carco. They are reliable for fixing what ever goes wrong with your vehicle.

After almost 3 1/2 years of owning my truck, I think it’s time for my honest review of Texas Carco. I purchased a 2014 Ram 2500 CTD. The truck was a used fleet vehicle with approximately 160,000 miles or so, I’m guessing. The price on the truck was very good. In fact, it was almost too good, and there was a reason for that low price. When I looked at the truck and test drove it, everything seem to be fine. It ran good, the air conditioner worked, the cruise control worked, and there were no check engine lights on. Of course, after driving for a day or two the check engine light came on. I took the truck to a diesel mechanic who ran several tests and determined that the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) was completely clogged and not functioning. This would require a full replacement of the DPF, which would cost approximately $2500 to over $4000 if you took to the dealership. The second option was to do a full delete of the DPF and other systems which would cost approximately $2500. Obviously, the check engine light was cleared before my test drive and also before picking up the vehicle for final delivery. There were several codes that were thrown due to the fully clogged DPF. The cruise control worked when I test drove it, but quit working after that. I am not sure how that happened or if it was coincidental. It was not cold when I purchased the vehicle so when winter came along, I found that the heater did not work. Other than that the actual engine itself and the transmission have worked very well and continue to work very well. So, after approximately $4000 worth of repairs, I had a fairly nice truck. The truck was priced about $3000 less than was expected so all in all things could have definitely been worse. I still own the truck, and have been pleased with it. The main reason for the two star rating is the fact that they did clear the check engine light before the purchase and were definitely deceptive in there selling practices. Rick convinced me that he was a friend and that he would not have been in business if he was not honest. Clearing the check engine light to sell a vehicle, when you know that the vehicle has a major problem is not honest in any sense of the word. With a fully clogged DPF there will be several engine codes. That is not up for debate. My mistake was not taking my own code reader. I have since purchased a code reader, so that I will never be in that position again. IMHO, you are taking a chance buying a vehicle from this dealership. You may come out just fine or you may have an experience similar to mine. My suggestion would be to buy a vehicle from a more reputable company. Thank you.

I can't say enough about this car lot and Rick and Randy. I went in looking for a bigger vehicle so I could get my grandkids and haul my groceries in. Well right off the bat Rick was super friendly and helpful. He listened to my needs and treated me and my daughter with the utmost respect. I walked away with a car I was happy with and thanks to Randy and Rick working hard to get me into a car that is dependable and adorable is more than I can ask for. This was my first time buying a car on my own, my late husband usually did the car buying but Texas Carco took the fear out of buying. I highly recommend them to everyone I know and to those I don't
