I have banked with First United since 2013 and was American Bank. I have always had great service.
We decided we wanted to buy a home. I reached out to Rob Ellis back in February. He walked me through a few things to clean up. He was super helpful through the entire process and we just closed on the home today.
There were times when I had numerous questions and concerns. Rob was patient and took all the time I needed to answer the questions.

We've finally left First United Bank and regret having opened an account there. First United demonstrated to us multiple times that they prioritize profits over their responsibility to their customers. During our time as customers, we found that we had to be vigilant about monitoring our account for exorbitant fees, and finally decided that First United was a poor custodian of our money and wasn't worthy of our trust.

If you have minimal expectations this is your bank! Not necessarily this branch but the bank in general is out of touch and not in the 21st century. Their ATM's and online access is antiquated and don't function properly on Apple products. In the last several months I've probably spent 4 hours on the phone with support. You can't access statements if you use Safari and Bill Pay only works in Google Chrome but will lock you out after a second attempt. At my branch it took almost 2 months to get into my safe deposit box because the banks key didn't work. It was totally ridiculous and not even a gesture to compensate me for repeated trips and ultimately meeting their locksmith. I bank with multiple banks and have nowhere close to these kinds of issues.

Love this bank but I agree with the ATM post, they spent months and who knows how much money moving the ATM into the WORST spot to try and drive through. its impossible to not run over the curb or sidewalk to get out. At this point I would rather park and walk in to use the ATM or go anywhere else because of how inconvenient it is.

The ATM drive way is ridiculous who ever decided on that design needs a different job. I can't believe they would put such a tight turn in truck country. If you need someone with common sense to help let me know but it needs to be fixed.
