I just called this company. And told me that I had to have established or active credit to apply for a signature on here. I replied to the nice lady that I had establish credit but I didn’t know any bills because I had paid all my bills off. I was denied the Ability to even apply for a signature line with this company because I did not owe money. I explain to the lady that I had very well established credit but she didn’t care and stated that I wasn’t even allowed to apply. What kind of company turns away a person for business that has well established credit for reasons that they don’t owe money to somebody. Be leery and very careful very shady! Thanks for the opportunity to talk to even apply for a loan even though I have a 730 Beacon score.

Great place overall. Everyone is very friendly and great customer service. Great place to establish credit and if you need some extra cash they will work with you. Michael and staff keep up great work thank you Alamo Loan co.

I've had several signature loans from Alamo Loan and have had a great experience with each one. They were very flexible with repayment options and helpful when my paydays didn't quite line up with the due dates.

I'm responding to Mr. Freeman's review. We here at Alamo Loan Company strive not only to help people but to provide a good borrowing experience. I think the confusion here is when the nice lady was getting information from him, he could not provide places where he had established credit. Established active credit is required here. I'm sorry we were not able to help Mr. Freeman.

I currently have loan here and it’s not a bad place, the staff is friendly and professional and have always treated me with respect. But it’s a cash only business which seems a little odd, but also I live 11 miles away and to have to withdraw cash & come here in person. It’s a bit of hassle but simply because they do not offer a pay by card option or pay over the phone option. I get that it’s a small business but everyone is using card now. And today of all days I go by to make my payment because there’s literally no answer on the phone and there’s a note on the door, like a hand written note, that states the power is out so they won’t be open! Truly the most frustrating thing is that I’m pretty sure they have our numbers in a filing cabinet somewhere and couldn’t even call to let us know. I’m willing to change my rating to a 5 star if anything changes!
