OneMain Financial, San Marcos, TX

I have been periodically checking One Mains website and even called asking questions, but never applied due to thinking I would be denied. I decided to go ahead and apply online the website was having issues, so I called the San Marcos Branch on Hwy 80 and spoke to Yolanda. She was very professional and assisted me through the final steps and process. I'm extremely happy that I applied.

I've had loans from my bank before, but they wouldn't help me finance a motorcycle I found on Craigslist because it was more than 5 years old. A friend of mine suggested OneMain Financial, and I gave them a shot. First, let me say that their service was incredibly personal. They were extremely friendly, welcomed me when I came to the branch, and wanted to talk about more than just "the numbers". It was very nice to get this level of service. Honestly, I'm not even sure if they know my name at my bank, and I've been with them for almost 20 years. Joseph helped me with my loan application, which was mostly painless. I was given an approval over the phone, and told to come by with my driver's license and paystub. I was surprised at how fast things went, but I was riding my new (gently used) Honda VTX by late that afternoon. Very happy with the service I received, and the speed at which I was taken care of!

The agents at this branch are amazing to work with. They always have a smile, are friendly, professional and extremely helpful. We have had great service from this branch every time we've used them. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing financial assistance for any type of loan, debt consolidation or vehicle purchase.

These folks need to learn what customer service really is. If you tell someone you will be ready for an appointment then you shouldn't make them wait 45 minutes past their appointment time, so you can complete paperwork that should have been prepared beforehand.

After many attempts to get a loan. I was turned down. They then called me a few weeks later to re apply. The person I talked to said she would call me back, but never did. I finally managed to get a response and they denied me again after she stated she would make sure I get a starter loan. Don't mess with this place. All they do is lie.

My experience was very pleasant and fast. All my information was already received and approved before I even walked into the office. The employee helped me with the paperwork and I was out the door. My deposit was put into my bank within 24 hours I could not ask for a better experience.
