I have worked with both John Muhammad and Dominique Long and they both are great with communication. They both always answer their phones or call you right back.. We had a more challenging loan to get processed and they never gave up but patiently did all required to get in closed. Not only that but they treated my customer with the utmost respect to help her buy her first home. They will get it done!

Neighborhood loans was such a pleasure to work with. They really stayed on top of things and in contact with us through the whole process, which we greatly appreciated considering we are located in another state. They were very professional, as well as friendly. We would definitely use them again should we choose to purchase again in the future. We received professional and helpful service on all the loans that i work with for my buyers to purchase their home. Every question we had was answered in a timely manner. I worked with Mike Protono and his team; unfortunately, I cannot say the process was smooth. In the initial disclosures, I noticed mistakes because they had falsely credited me for part of the appraisal. I had signed an appraisal waiver to supposedly get me back my 500$, but they then informed me it was “too late” and that I wouldn’t be getting the 500$ back. But that was only one of two mistakes that would carry on through the process. Second, there were assumptions made that I used one of the team’s contacts for home insurance, but I did not. So they had to correct this issue 4 times before the final disclosures arrived. I was informed by my realtor and title company that the final disclosures usually arrive a few days before the actual closing. However, my final disclosures arrived when I got the title company to sign the final documents. Lastly, we (my realtor and the title lawyer) waited while the final disclosures were corrected 3 times before we could finally sign all the documents at the title company. If I were to summarize this experience with two words, they would be: + Unprofessional + Apathetic On the part of the Neighborhood Loans team I used. As a first-time homebuyer who plans to purchase more property, I can safely say I won’t be using Neighborhood loans going forward. Hopefully, my loan gets bought out as well!

I am very grateful for team Varela (specifically Alex, Joshua Ford, and Erica Vanrossum) during the purchase of my home. They were there every step of the way to answer every question I had. I did not feel pressured to buy a house, they allowed me to take my time and find the one that was right for me. Even after I purchased my home, they still reached out to me to make sure everything was going well. I highly recommend this personable, loving team.
