I came to Ben in a bit of a pickle with my home buying situation. My home was going to be done with construction and ready to close in a month and a half. This is when the first lender I was working with suddenly told me they would not do a VA loan for me because I had to get my current home loan off my name to restore my VA entitlement amount to buy my second home (I am keeping both). They basically told me that since the loan was slightly more complicated than a traditional loan, they would only finance me with a conventional loan and that I would need to come up with a massive amount of money for a down payment and other fees.
