Day 1 Mortgage, Ashburn, VA

Applied for mortgage back May 2022. They wanted to place me in a program to improve my credit score despite it being 688. They repulled my credit in August. Since I haven't heard from Loan officer Julie Short. I have no pre-approval. All I have is 2 credit inquires. As a consumer I should be able to dispute these credit pulls since the lender failed to provide a service or product with the credit pulls. Disappointed in the process.

She provided several scenarios for different down payment and closing cost options at my request. She was available day and night and always responded to my many questions promptly and accurately. She worked diligently with the VA to work though difficult certificate release issues. She quickly pre-qualified me and provided my qualification details up-front to the sellers to ensure that my offer was fully considered in a very competitive environment. I always knew exactly what my closing costs would be and what was expected of me in every step of the process. I've had several mortgages, but no one has been as responsive to my needs as Marla at Day 1.

Terrible service from loan officer. Everything was in good shape until 24-48 hours before closing. They subsequently couldn't provide me a loan. Most unprofessional experience I have ever had.
