I almost feel bad giving this review. Don is great he was super nice and provided a lot of knowledge for someone that was a first time home buyer. However, he gave up. The minute my boyfriend and I weren't instantly approved, I didn't get a response back and the whole demeanor of our conversations changed. We were looking at buying back in July and we closed on a house in August. I would have prefered to use CBM but I am thankful another mortgage company got us in and approved with fairly no issues. I appreciate the help and how they overcame obstacles. CBM saw we might be a little less than ideal customers and pretty much was like nah we aren't gonna deal with these people. I just wonder why that was. Clearly we were able to get a loan and afford a mortgage. Slightly disappointing consider how lovely the staff is and the wonderful things i had heard from a close friend. I just would have appreciated a little more effort. I guess that's why they tell you to shop around with companies.

Don and his team are the best! They looked out for my interest and was always communicating and keeping me informed of the status. It was a smooth transition. Thank you ALL so much!!!

Don and his assistant Stacy are amazing people, down to earth and provide the best service in the state of Virginia. If you are looking for a company and reviews are as important to you as they are for myself this is a true review and they are as good as it gets. They go to every length to make sure they can get what you need or want taking care of and I promise you if they can’t get in done for you no one else can. I recommend this company to everyone and look forward to working with Don and his staff moving forward Further more I didn’t just meet a helpful team I made friends to continue my journey with and speak to often as they check up on my family and make sure we are doing good. I love them for the team they are but more for the people they are and the genuine people they are. I can’t say enough about these people they are absolutely the best you can find.

Dan and his processor, Stacy, made my home buying experience stress free and the process was seamless. We closed a day early and no issues! This is my 2nd home purchase with them and would use them again in the future! Highly recommend!

Given the high stakes and overall complexity of a mortgage loan, Craig Remington's professionalism and transparency were a key reason in my decision to obtain a mortgage from CBM. Some context: my initial pre-approved mortgage application was with a large financial institute where I've been a customer for 18 years; following an initial conversation with Craig, however, it became clear that switching to a dependable local lender who had a first-hand understanding of Charlottesville's real estate market was the way to go. Craig worked hard and around the clock to ensure a smooth transaction in less than four weeks after my offer had been accepted(!)
