New Peoples Bank, Honaker, VA

Been a customer for 15 or 20 years, until now. Tried to use my card several times and was declined so called bank. Apparently they cancelled my card without telling me. I am 1000 miles from home and have $20 in cash. Thousands of dollars in multiple accounts at the bank. My "crime" was ordering $40 of tshirts online. New People's thought that was fraud and cancelled my card without telling me. I was hung up on by my bank branch when I alerted them to the issue. Contacted corporate who pawned me off on somebody else in Bristol who refused to help me.. Tonight, I am going to be forced to drive 1000 miles from Dallas Texas simply to get an atm card that works. I will then have to turn around and drive 1000 miles back. I assure you before I leave East Tennessee again though that my accounts will be drained to pennies. Do yourself a favor if you ever travel anywhere and cancel your New People's accounts and go with a reputable bank.

This Bank will Not Cash Any Goverment Checks for anyone In the Community!! They want you to open a Account and then Hold your Money until the Government Check clears !!! It’s a government check so it’s not Bad !! I Recommend you pull your money out and absolutely Run Away To a Reputable Bank !!!!! They definitely don’t want to help they Community Or its Citizens..

Sometimes have trouble with the app. But the bank itself and the employees are very friendly and always try to help if they can.
