I've had the pleasure of working with Mike Rocco and his team for a few years now, and I always hear great things about his customer service from all of his clients. He truly goes over and beyond with his clients to ensure they're satisfied and make their loan process and closing a smooth process from start to finish. As a first time homebuyer I was prepared (and anxious) about any problems I may run into. But with Mike's help (and others at Atlantic Bay--I loved that it was a team and people jumped in to help where and when needed and it wasn't an ego-based group who tried to get the most money out of me as they could or emphasized how much they would lose if they gave a particular percentage--which happened when getting quotes from other people and other banks--I had a wide search area over a year and had a few pre-approval letters), I was prepared and confident and the process was made very easy. I had a quick turnaround time between the offer being accepted and the closing date and I never worried that I would be able to close on time, at least on my end. Not all was easy-peasy, I did make a mistake, or thought I did, and emailed Mike right away who reassured me (also right away, the contact time was great as there was very little lag time and that was helpful in preventing panic from setting in) that it was fine, which was a huge relief! For the first time doing this, the process was wonderfully simple and I know that is very much thanks in part to Mike and the Atlantic Bay team.

Joni Hamlett was awesome with helping us get our first home. Her very high level of knowledge and experience of the process was outstanding and made the process easy and stress less. Atlantic Bay Mortgage is the worst lender that I've ever had. For over 3 years, the ABM website has been constantly plagued with glitches. Making a monthly payment has taken up to 45 - 90 cumulative minutes on the website and then with CS if someone answers. The ABM IT department is a disaster. The ABM Lynchburg office is of no help whether by VM or by in-person attempts to rectify loan service issues. "I'll get back to you" rings hollow with the local office because it won't happen. Close escrow with an ABM loan and you'll be forgotten and/or ignored by the CS toll-free number; and most definitely by the local office including Mike Rocco. Wholly unprofessional.
