Blue Eagle Credit Union, Roanoke, VA

Have been with this bank for over 10 years. I have had nothing but GREAT service!!! Have been helped by many, but since I first opened an account, Becky Price has been there for me always! Whether CD’s, making a new account, or more recently getting a first time home AND car loan… she’s on it!! I can always count on her to have my best interest, explain things in a more simpler format, answer any & all questions I have, & always have such a fantastic & professional attitude! I always speak volumes & recommend this bank to anyone… ESPECIALLY if they want a credit union as their bank!

Lost my debit card, & thought I would hv to hv a 7-10 day wait to get a new one. Imagine my joy when told I could set up appt & get new one same day, in 10 minutes! Been a BECU customer since the mid '90s & appreciate the professionalism, courtesy, friendliness of Sam in getting my new card. Highly recommend!

My husband and I have been banking with Blue Eagle for years. We moved out of state and still kept them as our bank. We asked for a debt consolidation loan and was denied trying to pay off a personal loan and a credit card. This is all the debt we have. We have done multiple Eagle Express Loans with them to build up our credit with them and we're still denied. They were basing things on old debt on my husband's credit when he became fully disabled. Nothing recent! Everything has been paid on time. Also stated that are credit card was too high a balance the only one we have, which is why we were asking for debt consolidation loan. The whole point of being a credit union member is to have benefits to help the customer all we wanted to do was lower interest rates to get a lower payment during these hard times. They did offer us another Eagle Express loan to build credit with them weird because we have had multiple and paid off but not good enough to qualify for a debt consolidation loan which is weirder because our payment history with those accounts are current in good standing. Try to find a credit union who cares for their customers because Blue Eagle Credit Union sure does not!

Lisa Parker and the West Salem Branch is AMAZING! She helped my teenage son open his first checking and savings account. It was important to me to have my son open an account at a credit union. After learning about all the support Blue Eagle gives to our community, it was a no brainer. Thank you Lisa!!!

I had a great experience with Blue Eagle recently with my home equity loan. Angela in the Roanoke office was wonderful at keeping me up to date on where we were in the processing stages of my loan. Also, when I went to sign my closing docs, Ricky was very nice, helpful and efficient. I have had a few questions since my closing and he is always very quick to respond and help in anyway he can. I highly recommend if you are looking to refinance, add a home equity loan, purchase a home or buy a car, check here first. Their rates are lower than the banks, and its a laid back warm environment.
