From day one I knew I had made the right decision choosing PrimeLending. I was set up to work with Betty. Betty was not just another agent in it for a paycheck or a sale, she was genuinely there to help us. She helped with everything from giving references for home inspections to walking us through processes that had nothing to do with acquiring the loan. You knew she was there anytime for anything. Betty Schwartz was easy to work with at first. Very quick to get paperwork going. Unfortunately, despite several reminders Betty never readjusted our loan numbers so when our closing got near our cash due at closing was much more than we anticipated and were prepared to pay. After working on it for several days she was able to get our cash due down to what we originally agreed on. We also ran into several issues on getting final approval. We were first told that a specific household income could count and it turned out that we could not use it. We tried several other approaches and several times Betty would say we were all set and approved and then we would find out later that we still had to provide paperwork or documentation on certain things. Several parts of the closing costs were not disclosed to us from the start. The biggest one being over three thousand dollars for the first year of Mortgage Insurance. We felt as though Betty was only in it for the money and really had no desire to serve us as a client. She was not very clear in her communications with us and seemed to never really listen to our requests. Many times she would ask for details on something and blame the underwriters. Given the length of time she's been doing her job she should have known many of the follow up questions to ask. This could have saved a lot of time and frustration.
