Washington Trust Bank, Deer Park, WA

Absolutely inexcusabĺe poor service from the home loan department. Due to a rookie error by a veteran home loan officer, the escrow closing on the sale of my home was delayed five days. Today is day five and I still have not received funds from the sale of my home due to additional incompetence by Washington Trust. This delay caused considerable hardship for my family and is completely unacceptable.

Not to be mistaken for "Washington Mutual" (owned by Chase). Washington Trust is a local privately owned bank, whos survival was not dependent on any bailout money! My banker was Ashley at the Deer Park,Wa branch. Along with some pleasant conversation, it took less than 25 mins to setup checking and savings. Very friendly and professional, it was truly a much better atmosphere than I had anticipated. I am confident I've made a good choice!

Everyone here is friendly and helpful; they know me by name and know my kids. It feels like a “home town” bank but they also offer all the financial services you’d expect and have competitive rates.

The bank tellers at this facility always seem to have problems with giving back the correct amount of change or even just giving the change requested. The teller gets excited about getting basic things correct.

Great service, smiling faces, good advice. Excellent hometown banking experience.
