This credit union has a Friendly down home atmosphere! Love that! The customer service is outstanding! Everything that I have had questions about or needed help with has been quickly and efficiently provided. All of that and great customer service in a time where customer service is so important. I couldn’t be happier with this credit union and their staff!! Thank you to you all!!

Last summer, our family decided to move our personal and multiple business accounts over to White River Credit Union in the hopes that we would receive more personal and respectful service. We have been absolutely delighted with our experience and would like to mention two employees in particular who made the experience exceptional.
Kat was our initial contact who helped us open our accounts and spent a significant amount of an afternoon ensuring that all the accounts were properly set up, cards made, and temporary checks printed. She was a delight to chat with throughout the time we were there and very experienced with the process. We felt seen and heard and were delighted with the fact that we could get to know directly the individuals at the office should we need assistance at a later date.
Emily helped a few months later as we consolidated our loans. She thought through our particular situation and offered us opportunities that we had not previously considered. She worked with others at the office to give us the best rate and amount so that we could maximize our financial next steps.
We so appreciated the warm and respectful interactions with these two ladies and the employees who answered the phone when we had questions specific to White River’s software system. We are delighted with our decision to move to White River Credit Union and look forward to being members for years to come.

Always so friendly, caring, helpful, patient, kind, & with senses of humor that fit needs. Very nice & comfortable inside, also has drive through access. September 21st: talk like a pirate day celebrated. Professional, knowledgeable, care about keeping your accounts secure. It's a very pleasant atmosphere.

Absolutely horrible customer service. The manager is completely rude and if I could give 0 stars I would. Do NOT ever go to this bank. Sound Credit Union is much better.

This credit union is the worst banking establishment on the face of this planet. A family member passed away, without any legal documentation they locked all of the banking accounts( because they said they have to follow the law) to this day they still haven't received a cert death certificate. It took months of a legal fight with their legal dept just to get payoff amounts to two loans. To PAY them their money. This hassle with WRCU is a sick and complete joke of a professional banking establishment. They have NO respect for the families or the death of their deceased member.

Attention to new comers,
They are indeed a credit union, so in this aspect it is superior to being at a standard bank. However.. as the years have gone on, service seems to be lacking. W.r.c.u doesn't seem to have any aspirations of expanding. Which is fine I suppose, if the small town bank thing is what you want. Downsides: they do not "share branch" which is a state wide community of credit unions if you aren't aware, most credit unions do, so you can deposit money from credit unions in the community. If you work during banking hours, this can be very inconvenient. I am a local contractor so I mobile deposit checks often for material purchases and what not. It used to only take 15 to 20 minutes to have available funds but has been increasing steadily over the years. Now today it's been almost 5 hours and still no confirmation of deposit. I work all over the state so making it back to enumclaw to deposit a check for material money is unethical. I'm not feeling the "working for the people" aspect anymore and feel it's time to move on.
I just want to give warning to those thinking of starting an account here.

In order to obtain membership, you must live, work or worship in the state of Washington, or have a family member in the state of Washington who is or becomes a member themselves. I completely respect that. However, the new member account specialist, Kat, very rudely told me that my family member must be a direct family member such as a sibling or parent, which I was not previously told. So my cousin, who has lived in Washington state for decades does not qualify. My cousin is a C-Level executive at a large corporation, and has the connections & influence to take your credit union to new heights. He was also VERY enthusiastic about helping me. Kat completely destroyed that enthusiasm and a very significant amount of potential deposit into White River's ecosystem. We're going to make sure WR's leadership team AND its members are aware of such an abhorrent business decision, and do everything we can to remove Kat out of the way of progress. I wouldn't be surprised if White River has lost untold amounts of money because of her. I'm pretty sure someone at a much higher level would be much more reasonable once actually taking time to listen to what we have to offer! Soon enough!
