Not my bank

This branch was one of the HORIZON banks in our community, with local control and ties. But the WA State Dept of $$ Institutions closed Horizon Bank around 2010 and the assets and branches went to WAFED. I was concerned that the local flavor, friendliness, attentiveness, and quality service I was use to with the smaller local bank would disappear. I was wrong and mistaken. I feel when I pull up (often) to the Ferndale WAFED bank that I get all the benefits of a small ("every one knows your name") bank with the strength of a larger institution. I have been banking (in one form or another) at this location, 3rd and Main, since 1987. Not planning to change.

Best bank around with best customer service. All the employees are super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. 5*****
