Umpqua Bank, Mount Vernon, WA

I had sent my mother to apply for a home loan with the mortgage lender there: Rodríguez at the Mount Vernon, WA facility. After being pre-approved and finding a home and going to the pending process he decided to tell us we did not qualify and started changing the conditions of the loan making it so we no longer qualify . He did not find a way to help us at all. My parents being upset had expressed their concerns with him and his response was he didn’t want to continue to work with us. And apparently he had an issue with the real estate agent we were using, and insisted we work with his agent. Worst experience ever!! 0/5

I had my home with Sterling and when the change came to Umpqua I received a letter advising me that I needed to send my payments to Umpqua. I started mailing checks. But they continued to take the payments out of my checking account, too. I realized this a little late in the game but am very disappointed in their service. Of course, Sterlings service wasn't necessarily sterling, either. So I give them a very low rating. Maybe I should take away the 1 star.. Paid off the mortgage and Umpqua sent the deed release to Sterling bank - the bank they had taken over. So what? They sent it to themselves...the foolishness continues../

This is not an actual "bank". It is an home lending department. The sign on the door said Bellingham & Lynnwood were actually branches...

We refinanced her home with Travis Brewer from Umpqua Bank in Mount Vernon and were extremely pleased with the Interest rate and service we received. We look forward to working with Travis and Umpqua for any of our future mortgage needs.
