I have no complaints about the people who work at my branch.
But I never felt that I was a member of PCU. Always felt like a number...If I wanted to be a # at a financial institution I would have gone to Wells Fargo or Citi corp. BoA. Etc...
I have a Truck loan 2017 f250 lots of equity with PCU and pay over $450.00 per mo.
I have A+ Credit. I am on SS high monthly pay. No bills. I showed $25k+ in 5 months other income. PLus large amount of $$$ in an account.
All I wanted to do is pay the loan down with personal $$$. Get a loan and make my payments less than $350.00 mo.
Taking my money accross town. Very disappointed. A total disgrace of a CREDIT UNION.

My husband went to the Port Townsend pinincula credit union to pay my car payment.
They always ask for cash rather than my debit card. I sent my husband with cash and the envelope all filled out. The protocol for the last 2 months was, drop off envelope in night drop. Then, they slip the receipt through a cracked door. This time, the lady refused to give him a receipt for my payment. My hubby waited outside the door while they opened the door for another customer and also had a couple clients inside. We will no longer be doing business with this pinincula credit union.
So sad people are loosing their minds!

Have had an account here for 2 years and one car loan that’s paid off. Drove to Port Townsend from Port Angeles to sign for a new car loan and the bank was such a disaster that I sat there for 2 hours until they closed and never signed my paperwork. I ended up flossing my acct and leaving. The underwriter had an issue and couldnt solve the problem and also refused to talk to me. Absolute terrible service and business. Would never recommend them to anyone for any reason.

I actually do business with BECU because I used to live in Seattle for years but only came to Port Townsend at the beginning of 2018. Luckily, I didn't have to abandon my BECU account because Peninsula has Shared Branching where I am free to make deposits and withdrawals either in the lobby or at the ATM. Pretty friendly workers there, too. Recommended.

As credit unions go, just what you'd expect as good, basic service. Rates are okay, about par with the banks, but having a local brick-and-mortar institution where people recognize me and call me by name is what makes it feel like home. And the fact that they're local and invest locally means I'm dealing with neighbors here. Sustainability!

I opened a new savings and checking account. PCU did an HARD inquiry on my credit, even though I was Not applying for a loan. Most banks would have the sense to do a soft inquiry which wouldn’t count against credit ratings.
Since I may be applying for a mortgage in the coming months, this would count as a strike against me in terms of inquiries.
They said they can’t do anything about it.
