I have used OneMain formerly Springleaf financial multiple times and every time has been a positive experience. They are friendly, helpful, and do everything they can to get you the money you need. It's quick, easy, and you can get the money same day, in most cases.

I walked in to a branch and the woman at the desk answered my questions. I went home, applied, received my amounts for both a secured and unsecured amounts. I received a call minutes after application went through and the woman (the same one from the day before) let me know the very few documents to bring in (a recent bank statement showing both my income deposits and an ID that had the same address as the statement) and told me about their offers. And while there was the unsecured amount that I received online, there was also a MUCH larger amount designed to pay off my wife's car (since mine's paid off) and leave about $1500 or so to use. While I was not interested in that product, nor any of the other ones offered at the time of signing my documents, there was never a "hard sell" approach and I was never passed off with the "..........let me get my supervisor........" line to attempt the "hard sell" again. She answered all my questions, and more importantly she answered them clearly and simply. I was only interested in a loan that allowed for additional payments to be applied to the PRINCIPAL and not just using the extra payment amount to knock payments off the end of the payment term. Those types of loans are scams and require that all the principal AND ALL THE INTEREST are paid in full. OneMain of course allows extra payment amounts to be applied to reducing the principal amount and reduces the already low monthly amount (if you have autopayment and keep paying the same monthly amount then it just reduces the principal amount that much faster). These folks really can help you out of a jam and I would recommend them.
