Just like 2020, my experience has led me to believe that this company is very bad and I would not recommend. My husband and I attempted to refinance with Corey, someone whom my husband had met in business networking events and had sent a lot of business his way. We had recently found out that my husband had brain cancer and just had a successful surgery. We were lucky enough that his employer was willing to continue to pay him while he recovered and guaranteed he’d have a job when he was ready to come back to work. Corey assured us of his recommend plan and that we’d be finished in no time back in April. It didn’t take long to lose our confidence. Turns out Corey and Mary defined a lack of communication with several calls and emails going unanswered for weeks at a time! (Documents to prove) They dragged their feet at such a glacial pace and when asked what was the cause of this lack of effort and communication on several occasions Corey and Mary only said that “record low interest rates were to blame”. They said this all the while six of our friends at this point had started the process of buying a house or refinancing after us and had already closed. Four months into being ignored we received a voicemail on a late Friday afternoon from Corey stating that it had been so long that they needed to run our credit again. My husband and I did not get a chance to reply to the message that day and had decided to go with a different company, one of those companies that our friends had refinanced with and closed in a matter of just five weeks not four months. To our surprise and WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION Corey had taken it upon himself to run our credit again! Fast forward another four months of being ignored, Corey tells us that we’re finally going to sign and close! It was already a rough experience with this incompetent group of people but I figured, ok, it’s finally happening.... Wrong! We had our signing, we passed our three day waiting period and surprise! In good old 2020 fashion, I was furloughed a day before we closed. I should mention that this same thing had happened to two of my six friend who had bought and closed on houses during the nine months we waited for Evergreen Home Loans to finish this deal and they were still able to close. I was told by Corey that they won’t be closing with us unless I was back at work and that it was all our fault and not his due to my husbands disability despite his employment status being guaranteed and never having mentioned this before. Corey refused to acknowledge that him or anyone at Evergreen Home Loans were responsible for the exacerbated and ridiculous 9 months of dragging their feet and treating us like we’re not worth their time. In the end, both my husband and I absolutely will never recommend Corey or Evergreen Home Loans to anyone again, including you, the reader of this review. Nobody deserves to be treated like this and to be told it’s their fault because a disability. If 2020 has taught me anything its that your time is very precious, both the time you spend with your family and the time you spend doing business. Don’t waste your time with this company.
