OneMain Financial, Wausau, WI

Lisa refused to speak to me as my husband’s wife, even though I am the one who had the time and documents to get to her that she claimed she needed. She said “I have to talk to your husband first.” Well, when my husband called her there was no answer. So he left a detailed message, and she never returned the call. After three days of no call back, we decided to take our business to Marine Credit union instead. They helped us and got us all going in ONE DAY. OneMain couldn’t even be bothered to do one small loan in a week much less never because they never did get back to us. Then we later get a letter saying we were denied the loan. Well, we weren’t denied a new credit card through Amazon (which requires a credit score of at least 650+) we were not denied a loan from a different bank. We have good credit. We never miss payments nor do we spend unwisely, and our stellar record proves this. We never were told why it was denied. We contacted them several times asking them to tell us why, because we really were floored at how horrible they were becoming to work with. We just know it wasn’t our credit score or anything we didn’t do because we had all our bases covered. It’s like they just lazily drafted up a lame letter when they realized they forgot to get back to us and it was likely denied because too much time had passed and nothing had been done so it was probably just deleted out and then denied due to OneMain not doing their part. And really, after no call back and the unprofessionalism, we decided we just didn’t care why their bogus reasoning might be, and have since moved on. We got what we needed from better, more reliable and credible establishments. This review will be my last correspondence concerning OneMain.

Answers your every questions. Does a great job with communications. Helps you if you have problems with the payments, that's 5 stars. But, gets annoying when they contact you almost every week for payment when payment isn't due at the end of month. I felted like, I was getting harassed and it made me very uncomfortable. 2 stars.

One Main in Wausau has been a great company to do business with. They were willing to help when no one else would consolidate a large amount of debt, AND do it quickly within one days time! The interest rate is definitely higher than a bank or credit union, however the fact they are willing to work with people with lower than average credit scores, and give them a shot speaks volumes. I would highly recommend Team Wausau. Thanks for all you guys do!

Lisa was wonderful! She explained everything and was thorough. They are helping me to pay off bills and the payments were within my budget. Highly recommend this company!
