I like like them for yes but hit a snag....bank president fixed it tho

The wise would do well to steer clear of this banking institution.

Dealing with this branch resulted in the most frustrating experience I've ever had with any bank. We came here seeking financing for a rather sizable land purchase. From the very beginning we were treated as if our loan was the absolute LAST priority of the loan officer/branch manager. Time sensitive documents sat in her email for 3 weeks as the closing date for the contract approached. Not a word. She demonstrated a total lack of concern and seemed completely indifferent to the situation. This screw up cost us the opportunity to seek alternate financing options while there was still time before closing. She would almost never take calls during normal business hours and several times didn't return messages. When I did receive a call back it was usually after hours when she had presumably finished with more important duties. After wasting a total of over six weeks of our time, there was never any type of apology. Unless you are looking to waste your time and be treated like your business doesn't matter then I would suggest avoiding this bank. UPDATE: Within days of finding out that we could not get the loan through Whitesville State Bank, I contacted Farm Credit Of The Virginias and had a COMPLETELY different experience. They were very responsive from the beginning and wasted no time getting the loan processed. I would absolutely recommend Farm Credit Of The Virginias to anyone looking for a land loan.

If you’re looking for a bank that puts the customer last, this is your bank! I’ve never felt so disgusted by a business in my life. I wouldn’t place a penny in this bank. Awful—just awful!
