I had an unfortunately urgent situation where my entire checkbook was stolen, so I went in to get it remedied. I wanted to change my account number since a whole book was stolen and I didn't know the range of the checks. Samantha M. told me she couldn't change my account unless there was fraud. I'm wondering how someone stealing my personal and financial information is not fraud. She gave me her card saying she would look into it more and never did leading me to need to close my account the next day. I didn't feel safe leaving my money at such an institution anymore.

Tellers are great. Loans and loan management are super easy. Allied handles their insurance verification. They make "mistakes"and charge your account. Keep track of your own insurance and wyhy is great!

When I purchased my new vehicle a Denver dealership, I have never heard of "WyHy" despite living in Wyoming my whole life. The dealership brokered many different lenders and offered me a financing package for my new vehicle at a fixed 3.9%! I was was elated. Then recently my wife and I were needing a large mortgage for a new home in Salt Lake. The problem was, I am self employed and not a W-2 earner, so applying for a conventional mortgage through various builders and their lending incentive discounts was really discouraging us because a couple of them flat denied our loan request because we did not show a positive healthy taxable income on our tax returns (nor did I have a W-2 statement). To make matters worse, I have a good CPA that drives my taxable income into the negative each year, and my wife is a stay-at-home mom, so literally there was no income to show to qualify for a mortgage. My wife and I were very discouraged and after 6 months of looking at houses and applying for various mortgages with no success, I thought I would contact "WyHy" as a last ditch effort to get a mortgage since I already had a two year positive history with my vehicle loan (despite our Realtor telling us he never closed a transaction with a credit union because every Client he had that tried to use a Credit Union got denied because as he said 'Credit Unions are notorious in scrutinizing in their loans'). And I am sure glad I did!
I spoke with Brittney Wagner-Tapia, WyHy's Mortgage Loan Originator in Cheyenne, and even though she could not make me any promises, she assured me she would look into our request because WyHy was supported by the "The Servion Group", which upon learning, was a very large diversified financial services company that is committed to supporting their partner institutions like WyHy, and Brittney mentioned they do over 1000 mortgages a month with their partner institutions. With that kind of volume, I felt hopeful they could potentially get it closed. After sending them my negative tax returns, bank statements, and a P&L, I began to feel anxious about the process, and thinking I would just get another inquiry and credit rejection; however, I was stunned when I was contacted to go ahead and bind my homeowners insurance quote because they were ready to close it a few weeks later. Wow! I could not believe it! My wife and I began to celebrate and pack!!! A week later, they closed it successfully without a glitch. My wife and I are now living in our dream home in Salt Lake, driving a new vehicle we bought from a dealership in Denver, which was all made popular by a small credit union in Wyoming with a funny name.
I believe I could have called a 100 different banks in the USA, and after telling them I am self-employed with net operating loss tax returns, I am certain not one of them would have returned my phone call. Mortgage brokers/originators run from mortgage requests like that. Paradoxically, they love W-2 income mortgage requests because those loans are easy to process. But not WyHy and their giant partner Servion! They did what no mortgage broker/originator can do -- they get it done regardless of the applicants earning status -- BECAUSE THEY CARE!
If you live in Wyoming, or any surrounding state and you need a vehicle loan or a mortgage, especially if you are self employed, run to WyHy (don't walk). They truly made our dreams come true with this home purchase, and I will continue to give them me and my families business and I will continue to tell everyone I know about Brittney and WyHy. They truly deserved it.

If I could put 0 stars I would! I recently lost my father and my mother being upset was told he had to be removed from the accounts. My mother stated NO as he still had checks coming in for life insurance and credits from cards closing. Samantha M. stated she had to and we had to make arraignments to have checks changed over into different names.
This woman showed zero sympathy for our situation. And offered no options.
As the daughter I went down there to confront the woman who is suppose to be in the business to assist people when there is a problem. I asked this Samantha (who apparently was the only employee working in the entire building) why she could not just put my mother name as primary and his secondary, Samantha stated that's not allowed. I asked for a supervisor, she got teary eyed and asked why I was being so aggressive. I asked for a supervisor again, she said no. I stated we were closing our accounts due to the lack of professionalism, unsympathetic, and obviously not trained well children running this place. Samantha M. stated that was fine to close, she did not care. My parents have had accounts there since 1991. I will say this is not the first time, but this will be the last. We are closing 9 accounts.
Public! be advised if you want to be treated well don't have accounts at WYHY FCU. And soon their will only be robots working at this place as they seem to run on a skeleton crew on a regular basis.

Had to change my address and get a new card. Went ahead and used the online live chat and had Terri Burgess help me out and I have to say she was amazing and the in person branch there in Cheyenne is one of the best as well. Out of all they credit union buy out and name changes I have been through being able to walk into the local branch and have them remember me and get good quality and genuine help is the best feeling ever. Shout out to wyhy for all the help and being an overall great place to bank
