Credit Union 1 - Fairbanks Branch, Fairbanks, AK

I cannot wait to get my loans paid off at this bank and I can move to another one! It used to be really good and I had no issues for years until it shut down their second location which was super convenient next to Fred Meyers. Today my paycheck has been pending and should have been posted this morning but their system went down and I have been waiting for them to post MY MONEY to MY ACCOUNT so that I can go there to the most inconvenient location across town and pull out 40 dollars so that I can pay my mortgage at AK USA. I have been told twice multiple times this morning it will be 30 minutes, it will be another 45 minutes, another hour, etc. I also hate that they got rid of their point system which was great if you needed a little extra cash if you had enough points, really made banking there worth while but not anymore.

The staff has alway's been super friendly, and as helpful as they can be with any of my questions/concerns. The facility has always been very clean. The recent remodeling looks excellent. Keep up the awesome work and thank you for all you do.

I have no clue what their banking is like, but I have did multiple loans now through CU1, and I can say that the customer service I have received has been second to no one. Everyone I’ve had contact with has been friendly, fast, and helpful.

ATM has been down since last Thursday 5/13, twice this month now! Kinda ridiculous that they only have 1 ATM in town that always seems to be down. Emailed them about getting another one on the west side of town and they do not feel its what's "best" for their customers at the moment. They would rather us drive 20 minutes into town to use a ATM that never works.

I’ve never had an issue while bank with CU1, their staff is friendly and helpful. Parking lot is a little cramped and their exterior atm is exposed to the elements.

Definitely use to be a TON better. All the new technology that’s suppose to make it easier is not. The new atm/drive through is terrible! The employees inside are always very nice, but they never have enough of them. Haven’t been happy with them since they closed the other Fairbanks location. Just getting worse over time.

Credit Union 1 thinks it's ok to reposes your vehicle that's up to date on payments if you miss a credit card payment. Bunch of money hungry thieves!! Never again
