They do not offer home equity loans in the state of alaska, which is a bummer. Other than that I didn’t have issues with guild, for a first time home buyer with little money they do really well at working on pricing with you in order for it to be affordable.

The team at Guild Mortgage does an excellent job of offering the best loan program for each individual clients individual needs. They offer wonderful customer service and the bottom line is they truly care about their clients! For their team it is NOT just another transaction it's a client for life!

They get you a loan at an average rate. The gripe I have is that they sold my mortgage to a no-name BS company. I know this is common practice in the industry, but I didn't even make my first payment before they sold my mortgage. That just blows my mind. You try to deal with a local and reputable company and they pawn you off on a bunch of bums.

I can't say I had a bad experience. It's more like no experience. I was convinced by my realtor to apply for a home loan here. I applied for a loan on December 17th it's been almost 2 months and I have not heard anything regarding the status of the pre-approval. No communication after the first two days. If you have lots of time to waste then this is the company for you.

WORST experience ever. Previous two loans I had with Guild in another state were top notch. This branch couldn't close escrow in over two months! Stay clear especially if you are a vet!
