I have had an account with Alaska USA for 18 years. They have always been wonderful to work with. The tellers are always friendly and helpful. Last year my husband died and since then everyone at my local branch has gone above and beyond to help me with my banking needs. They provide good old fashioned, small town service backed with the latest and greatest tech and info. I highly recommend them.

They took money out of my account after I was scammed by the account holder LaAccount dropped 2000 and my account been closed since I thought!!
NEVER TELL THE BANK ANYTHING. A BANK DOSE NOT CARE . IT IS WHO ACCEPTS NOT HE WHO COMMITS THE SCAM . AND YOU WILL BE A DOUBLE VICTIM 1 BY THE SCAM AND 2 WILL BE BY YOUR BANK.

Been going here since it opened and have business and personal accounts with then. Service is fantastic. Some of the tellers even remember my face and and are pulling up my account before I get up to the counter. This isn't the case at all Alaska USA branches, but it certainly is here. The online banking is also very good. Better functioning than some of the other local institutions.

Currently in a line of 9 people waiting. All 3 tellers are working on loan applications while there are people in all 3 offices sitting happily unbothered.

I've come to the conclusion I am probably going to change my bank.
I want to start by saying the Customer service I've experienced has been kind and excellent!
I've been with Global Credit Union/Alaska USA for years.
I'm disappointed because I had higher expectations and used to not experience these issues.
I've been struggling with the same reoccurring issues for roughly a year now. The last few months though it's been extremely persistent.
Since Alaska USA started its transition to becoming a global bank, I've run into several problems.
My transactions not going through, my account being flagged, not receiving calls back (even when told I would receive them), my pin just stops working and I have to go reset it.
I've been on the phone with them so much the past few months, it's truly become a chore and a hassle. It's unfortunate because I actually really liked this bank. I've never had another one, and now I think it's the time for me to change.

I've never had such a difficult experience just trying to pay an auto loan. Get charged twice for my payments in a month's timespan, then they (without warning or notice) decide to add in an extra 95 dollar fee because they also wanted a copy of my insurance. This tacking on of extra fees without proper notice puts borrowers at risk of damaging their credit. Not cool.
