Received a check in the mail. Never applied with this company and never would! The check was for $2,100.00. The Finance charge is $2,293.26. Therefore, the interest rate is more than the check. Annual percentage rate of 84%. The total repayment would have been $4,393.26. The enclosed letter said I had excellent credit history. My credit is considered "fair" 685 score. A 84% interest rate sounds more like something a loanshark would charge you. What an awful way to take advantage of people who really needed a loan. Always Money might reasonably say "we don't force you to cash the check, we don't ask you to take a loan, the final decision is up to each individual" This is so true, but we are living in hard times, people are losing jobs, the pandemic has altered our way of life in devasting ways, and this is how greedy companies respond. Shame on you, shame, shame, shame!!!
