Check Center, Hayward, CA

this place was the only place that would cash a check that was more than 6 months old yet still valid. The bank that the check was drawn on (bank of america) refused to cash it even after my employer called them directly. Same for the other check cashing places, even though the check had no expiration date, there is an unwritten rule about checks more than 6 months old. So my employer was going to reissue the check but it was goin to take a couple weeks and i needed the money before then. This place said they would do it and they did, fast and friendly, Blanka was her name the one who helped me and i will give them my business from now on.

I have been using this vendor for 15 plus years and never had an issue until they took an unauthorized payment recently and admitted to it. The Manager's way of handling the situation is to ignore customer completely and not return calls. Way to go area manager!! This place has gone down hill. I dont blame employee. Its upper management who clearly gives the directives and lacks professionalism. I guess she is so great they can afford to lose my business.

How is this possible? I'm still fairly new to this place and I've came to this Check Center a few times already, but yesterday I have enormous concerns about what has just taken place. Please, LOOK AT THIS IMAGE & LOOK AT THE RED SPOT ON THIS CHECK VERY CAREFULLY. This is "BLOOD" on the check. I signed and handed the entire check to an employee at this location and she ripped off the necessary part and handed me back my cash/receipt WITH a BLOOD STAIN ON IT. I didn't even notice until I walked outside to realize there was now BLOOD on my check. I walked back in to ensure that the lady's hands were not bleeding and she was happy to show me they were indeed NOT BLEEDING.. and there was no pen with *RED INK*. So my question is, how the heck is there blood on my check? I do not tolerate this and this is totally unacceptable service. I will be sure to report this to the police department and hand them the evidence personally. This is very offensive and I'm not willing to condone this sort of behavior without responding in some form. If you're cashing your checks here, just be careful of THIS PLACE, you may end up with BLOOD on your check. Avoid this place if possible! This is creepy! This not inviting! This is repulsive! If you were sick, this could be very dangerous for you.

As I waited in line, I couldn't help but notice the person working behind the counter, has excellent customer service. Then came my turn. Aleisha greeted me, and after telling her this was my first time, she expained how advances work, and is very knowledgeable. She made me feel comfortable. Thank you Aleisha for helping me today. This will be my new go to for a advance. Thank you!

Fast and professional. This place was my top 1 choice to go when I want check and cash. Also Vanessa is really helpful and nice. Definitely come back again.

This place is the friendliest check cashing place I have ever been to. I have been to several all over the Bay Area. I am a Registered Dental Assistant who Temps all over with different dentist. I had absolutely no problem 😊. First time I called they answered there phone right away. Lisa is an employee here. She is always very polite, freindly,accurate, fast. Plus always has a smile. She makes you feel welcomed. Not judged like some places. I drove all the way from Berkeley to cash my checks. I give the Check Center 6 stars 🌟 🤩 ✨️ 😍
