The downside is that it is difficult for those who do NOT have family or friends in the area who meet the co-signer guidelines to be financed, though these are opften the most needy possibssible recipients.

On time service and helped generously when I needed a loan for grad school. Have your assets and budget in order, as well as an idea for two co-signers before committing to them. Moves the process along a whole lot smoother.
