I applied for a small loan through them and someone called me from the branch offering me an amount for my car which was not even what I needed the loan for - and it was an outrageous APR and monthly payment - more than what I’m paying through Santander which is the worst for high APR. I declined. Then another lady called me and when I told her I already spoke to someone she said it wasn’t them I spoke to (even though same phone number) and she hung up on me. Super rude. Terrible loan options. Terrible communications. Would never recommend. I would try Upstart before ever considering this company.

Don't waste your time and you score credit I have 694 score credit and I get 0 dollars with a income of $40k , bad experience with them .

My first visit I went in with an open mind set after bad experience online and three "local" branches later; all instructing a co-signer. Of course I got denied, cool no pun intended. I came back 6/1/23 on my 2nd visit WITH A CO-SIGNER then to all of a sudden a new "loan specialist" said my co-signer HAD TO LIVE WITHIN THE SAME HOUSEHOLD. my response was "how come that information criteria was not disclosed throughout the WHOLE journey process?" All the specialist said is "I'm sorry, I know, I'm sorry." That is something I do not want to hear. My co-signer ended up applying for herself on a new application and even put down her car down as collateral. So supposedly she was approved for x amount. Come to find out my supposedly co-signer was STILL DENIDED AFTER the loan specialist told us she was approved for x amount. I don't understand. Maybe all this has to do with the lawsuit OneMain Financial group just lost 20 million dollars worth they have to pay back to customers? Real real bad experience and too much Hassel for very little money offered. Can anybody relate?

rude clerk at OneMain lawndale ofc hung up on me when i inquired about an alert from Experian re: an account inquiry not made by me!! Declined to help me ID culprit in any way. All calls to other OneMain ofc's resulted in no human and no call backs from messages???? Inside job?? CAUTION dealing with this institution
