I am over joyed with the service I received from Choice Lending Group! My loan officer was Dwayne Sheffield. Awesome guy, super friendly but most importantly he did NOT make ONE MISTAKE with securing my loan! When he promised things would be completed before a certain date they were! He honored the Rate Lock he gave us! Do you know that there are actually 100's of sleazy internet lenders that sometimes wont! Who cares that its highly illegal, they still will do it anyway! With Dwayne... there were NO issues, a completely smooth, legitimate transaction from start to finish. I'm so happy we got the interest rate we did, WHEN we did! Today our 1,700 dollar Mortgage would be 22 or 2,300 hundred bucks for the same freaking house! I thank GOD I got the wonderful recommendation to go with Dwayne...my home ownership dream has come true! :)

When we decided to refinance, we groaned because of past, negative experience. A friend recommended Aaron, and what a great recommendation it was. The process is straightforward, professional, and no document was lost, a typical event during other refi's. He is a high-level communicator, and we felt fully informed throughout the process. When looking for a lender or broker, I looked high and low. Not many high desert area reviews worth a darn. So, I figured, "Choice" sounds logical since I'm making a choice out of a shot in the dark. This was the first call I made. They are a direct lender, and have mortgage brokers. The best of both worlds, offering you the flexibility some of us need. Now let me preface my review in saying that it's been a few years since we've purchased a home. We had a terrible experience first couple go arounds. We previously went with a mortgage broker both times, who were referrals from friends and family. Yeah no, didn't work out so well and we were completely taken advantage of. So back to the story. I called Choice and the man who answered was Steven Taylor. He's a branch manager of the Rancho location, but happened to be in Victorville that day. After dealing with problematic credit issues, talking to multiple credit counselors, I had confidence in Steven but was sure we couldn't buy a home yet. He stayed late and met with my husband and I that night, knowing a loan probably wouldn't be in our future. Steven stayed late and met with us that same night, knowing we still didn't look like qualified buyers. He pulled our credit and went through it line-by-painstakingly-awful-line. The coaching then began. He knew financially we could afford to buy a beautiful home, but we first needed to clean up our credit. He walked my husband and I through the process of credit disputes, and even gave us sample letters to use. When we left that night, we still couldn't buy a home, but we knew what we needed to do so we could buy one in the future. I started the dispute process the next day, and behold, less than 3 months later, we turned our credit scores around and raised our scores over 150 points with each bureau. Our scores have continued to improve since then and we couldn't be more pleased. Steven offers the most full service broker and lender solution I've ever seen or heard of. He checks in with us from time to time, and we've gained not only a business partner for lending, but we've gained a friend. He's a huge supporter to us in our home buying process and he'll always get referrals from us. Because of Mr. Steven Taylor, we'll always be back, and will always be sending referrals his way. He's got our full loyalty and confidence, and Choice Lending has our business for the entire time we live in California. Although he works out of the Rancho office primarily, he will be in Victorville anytime you need him. He lives in the high desert area, and is always willing to meet out of whatever office is convenient for you. Without Steven, we'd still be back at square one, not able to buy a home again. Horrible service by Rudy Licona. First off Rudy doesn't even have the courtesy to return calls in a timely manner and is extremely unprofessional. I left several messages with his assistant and on his personal cell. As a first time home buyer I had so many questions that were left unanswered. When i tried to reach Rudy with updates he responded days later or not at all. Extremely unprofessional and very little customer service. This was so discouraging after hearing good things about Choice Lending . I am now working with my local credit union who's agents update me regularly and are on top of their work unlike Rudy Licona.
