TBK Bank, Durango, CO

Look at all these horrible reviews: there is a reason TBK has horrible reviews from so many people! Read the fine print or they literally deplete your account! Don't do it, go to Wells Fargo, BOC, BSJ ALPINE. they aren't the greedy outsiders and they are WAY SUPERIOR. TBK IS RUN BY SCHEISTERS....Plan on reading every word and getting ripped off!!! Bank implies building which you can enter but this location is a drive thru only with limited abilities. I suggest an edit that clarifies the locations abilities and responsibilities. This is not a reflection on the entire company but a reflection about misinformation of a location, and as a warning to future patrons.

I'm physically disabled and on a fixed income they called me to let me know that I was overdrawn I said I know I will get a deposit on the 3rd they said no problem we'll take off the overdraft fees. It never happened and now my power is going to be shut off thanks TBK. Definitely closing my account and opening one with a bank that's been around awhile that has a good rating and doesn't screw over people that are physically disabled and retired.

In June, everything was fine. Then they broke the mobile banking app. (No auto click apps are allowed? There AREN'T ANY!) Next, I got around this by using a web browser. Now they broke that, too! They want to send you sms confirmations to log in. No, you don't have my permission to do that. In the span of 2 months, TBK went from being the best banking option in Durango to worse than Wells Fargo.

I was disappointed when TBK bought First National Bank of Durango, I had wanted to keep my money in the community here but not much I could do about that and I was exceptionally happy with the process and my loan consultant so it is what it is. But I’m ready for another loan now, and feel like I was completely blown off. I want to build a small cabin on my property and they require you to go through a home builder, etc and so on...which in Durango means a minimum of like $300k for 1000 sq ft home, not including permits and all that come with this type of project. I have already proven my payment record with TBK, have excellent credit, and haven’t missed any bill of any kind in over a decade. None of that was even considered though. I was just told that if I didn’t want to go through their specific process of having someone else do work I’m completely capable of doing, then it was a no go. Definitely didn’t feel like the person I spoke with was looking at me as a customer, as an individual. I guess I get to go and find a new bank to partner with now, and can go back to a local place.

Why have a sign on 8th Street pointing to Drive Through and ATM if there's no ATM on that side? You have to circle around back to the front of the bank, or risk your life with oncoming traffic to get to the correct side of the Drive Through. So annoying. As is bank verification while traveling. Why won't the system allow me to get a text or email instead of a phone call?

My husband and I were trying to open a joint account, we filled out the paper work and signed and they told us to come back later because they’re was a problem with the paper work. We came back about a week later and told us we couldn’t open a joint account because my husband already had an account. The account was opened on the same day we tried for a joint account, there was $0 dollar deposit, the signature didn’t match my husband’s, there was an overdraft for a paper statement that came out to over $200, there was no card active nor did they send one and the manager that supposedly opened the account quit. They never called us back or helped us resolve this matter. What do I do?
