We love Charter Oak Federal Credit Union, so much so that we no longer use traditional banks. The staff are professional and have helped us make important banking decisions. We have always felt like we are part of their family.

It was a pleasure working with COFCU to obtain a mortgage through them. The entire process was pleasant and relatively stress free. They are very professional and make themselves available to answer questions and provide information to ensure a smooth process.

They made getting our mortgage a quick and easy process, which from what I hear, is not that common haha. Also, they definitely have the best rates in our area, and locking the rate was very simple as well! Our attorney told us she loves using Charter Oak because their closing binder is very short, and she was definitely correct. We were done with all the paperwork on our closing day in less than 10 minutes. It was great!

Beware this business yes business is all about smoking your boots with overdrafts. Don't even think about getting a loan, I tried putting my brand new f250 up for collateral against a $10,000 loan with a cosigner with perfect credit and I've been banking with them for almost 15 years....... they wouldn't help me. Recieved the loan from another bank after only a few minute phone.call. I'm definitely switching banks the.next chance I get.

Horrible service by the young brunette lady my husband encounter the other day. Went to deposit a check & aside from being asked where’s the check from (clearly states on the check) , how do we have a house in Florida (we in fact do not have a house in Florida) & how do we have house insurance in Florida, when we live up here in ct, printed out the slip with our account number on it & somehow still ended up messing up our deposit by depositing our $1,700 check into someone else’s account! Completely inconvenient and careless & made us feel discriminated. Looking to find another bank to bank with that won’t make us feel uncomfortable & instead, make us feel welcomed.

Sitting in the drive through for 45 min because who ever is working the window does not no how to do there job one car takes this person 15 to 20 min then he walks away once u pull up and u sit there for another 5 min tell he comes back and says how r u like I would be great if I could get out of here literally 3 cars and I sat for 45 min r u kidding this bank is crazy I will drive to the other one by the mall before coming back here again
