I received an offer in the mail from best egg for a personal loan. I applied and qualified for half the amount listed at the rate listed for the shortest possible term. First, and most importantly. Not 10 seconds after the offer page loaded, the phone started ringing. I knew right then I would regret this decision. It's based mainly on this intrusive practice that I have requested to withdraw my application. There are plenty of other reasons not to do it though. Second, if you have high limit credit cards with no balance and balance transfer offers, then this personal loan is a complete rip off. Same amount of money from my credit card was more than 70% less in up front fees for the same amount of time. Third, the "origination fee" (which comes out of your deposit). In my case this fee was 2.5% of the original requested amount, but after increasing the loan amount by just 25% of the original amount, this fee almost doubled to 4% of the new amount. I gave them a couple of stars because the people I spoke to were nice, and helpful in assisting me in undoing my mistake of applying for a person loan with best egg. There are much easier and cheaper ways to borrow money.

Application was easy to fill out. Best Egg was very responsive as soon as I submitted my application. Best Egg offered various ways to supply documentation to them. The funding was in my bank in a short amount of time from when I submitted my documentation. I love the way you keep us updated via email and text. I LOVED my experience with best egg. I will definitely be referring you to others.

NOTE: This is not about Best Egg Loans - it is about the Best Egg Credit Card. If you like getting embarrassed, get a Best Egg credit card! They put a 10 day hold on payments so you will go around thinking you have credit available, but you don't. The money for my payment came out of my checking account on 8-23-22. It's 8-29-22 they declined my purchase claiming that payments get placed on hold for 10 days. Based on the principles of Time Value Of Money, they are ripping off their customers by working on their customers' money for 10 days. Do not get this card unless you understand that they will not compromise on this - they will hold your money for 10 days. Period. I've never bounced a payment. I've never even paid late. This is how they treat their best customers. Your experience won't be any better. I tried to get them to be fair and release the hold on my payment. They refused.

I recently applied for a loan to consolidate credit card debt after my divorce. I considered several companies and ended up going with Best Egg for a few reasons: 1) They did not harass or rush me. 2) No one incessantly called me. 3) The interest rate was lower than the others. 4) The origination fee was reasonable. 5) The process was quick and easy. Very transparent with their loans! I loved that they show you a pie chart which keeps track of your loan paid, loan owed, and interest paid. They even keep you updated on the amount you pay per day in interest. I don't know how often this happens, but we took out our loan January 2021 and when the loan was disbursed our rate was somehow almost 2% lower than we were quoted! I do wish they had an app, but other than that it was a great experience using them for our home renovation loan.

I needed a short term personal loan for an unexpected expense, and best egg made the whole process super easy. Yes, rates are a little high, but we're talking about personal loans here. I applied and had funds in my checking account the same day! Really saved me in a tough situation. Thanks best egg!

I have used Best Egg for several loans. The process is easy, I always get a rate much lower than my credit cards, and paying it off with auto-pay is great. Funds are distributed quickly with no hassle. Great customer service.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND BEST EGG. I am beyond disappointed with this loan agency. I signed up for a $7500 loan back in August 2023 because I was in an urgent situation to borrow money. After looking up different companies I found this one through Credit Karma and it looked really good because the payments were fine for me around $273-300 per month and seeing my interest was 18% I thought it was better than 25% interest etc. I got approved for the loan. After speaking with agent on the phone and the information given to me was that I would pay $273 per month in 36 months to pay off my loan but yet they charged $500 origination fee and daily interest (which is something I wasn’t aware of from the beginning). After setting up autopay on my account since day one, I decided to check my account with Best Egg after a couple of payments to check that my balance was going down to find out that they are taking $113 on INTEREST and $160 to my principal loan every payment I make monthly which is INSANE. Never seen a company like this scamming customers because I wasn’t told about daily interest and how much they take out of your payments to scam you and become rich themselves. This is how Best Egg will take advantage of customers who are seeking for financial help, but you rip us off with that high interest. I thought the interest wasn’t gonna be taken out every month from my auto payments which is $113 for interest an $160 to my principal. This is crazy, expensive and unreliable company. I called best egg after finding out about this and they couldn’t help me at all and couldn’t fix the daily interest rate or remove those chargers. I will make sure everyone knows about this scam they are doing and charging daily interest (NOBODY WANTS TO BE IN DEBT) never thought this would happen to me. I wish they would’ve fixed it but they won’t. All they said over the phone was to make additional payments on top of my $273 auto pay to lower my interest like money is easy to make. This is absurd! I wish I could erase this loan from the credit report and not pay them anymore for scamming me!
