Amscot - The Money Superstore, Sanford, FL

This location is my go to whatever I need to have documents notarized. Tim and his team do a great job. I always feel welcomed and well served. 1-15-20 I've had to go three times to this wonderful store to get things notarized. The staff is so helpful. Tim took care of me in the professional manner that he always does. 2-18-20 This time the store was really special. As I stood at the window and waited for my turn, all of the staff were helping people who had unusual problems. As I watched, all of them left very happy with the service that the team provided for them. When my time came, the document that I needed to have notarized was promptly handled so efficiently. Why would I go anywhere else?

Went in to have a paper notarized, lady was very polite but said that she would have to check with the notarized person to see if could be done. This gentle men called someone at corporate and came back to me and said he could not notarize my document. While I was there he also had to turn down another gentlemen trying to get the same thing done. Bottom line is Amscot is out of the Notarization business.

I unexpectedly needed a cash advance and the Amscot reps I worked with from start to finish were extremely helpful and pleasant. They made the process easy, and followed-up with a phone call reminder on payback day so that I would not incur late fees. The service at this location is excellent, and I highly recommend.

Best Amscot ever. I went to another Amscot to notarize a document in Spanish and they never understood how to help me, even she talked Spanish. In this Amscot the majority of the employees are bilingual, but today they did not have any. Timothy was happy to help me and he understood what he need to fill out in the document. I am very pleased.

Horrible service. Like high school, they act like they're a clique of popular girls, you can tell that outside of work they have no lives. They get entertainment from playing with your money. Ask you 1000 questions only to judge you and deny your transaction. Use MONEY GRAM. Save yourself the trouble. If you are more attractive or have a better body (I'm both) they will have a terrible attitude. It's really sad, I got my money through another source. Maleka the butch lesbian with glasses is the worst, she looks like an owl avoid her. I think they get jealous that they're sitting behind a glass while people are getting money. They need training or new staff who can PROFESSIONALLY do their job. I was there 2 hours because they were laughing and making jokes after falsely flagging my transactions as fraud. Never had this problem, avoid this location if it's an emergency. My aunt has cancer, I work out of town but haven't gone because I'm staying close in case something happens during chemo, friends from out of town sent me money for bills since I haven't been working, simple!!!!

I came to this location to get a money order which I have gone to other Amscot stores to do in the past. There was 1 other person in line and an empty store on a Saturday afternoon. I had just gotten off of work and expected an easy and simple transaction, I was greeted by a "ma'am" and when I get up to the counter I get a "what do you need?". I proceeded to let her know I need a money order to which she didn't even let me finish my sentence and said very demanding "well I need Cash". I asked if I could use the ATM in the back of the store which she answered "I don't think you can take that much out at a time but you can try". This lady must of been having a bad day and taking it out on just anyone. Shorter Spanish lady with glasses. I left and went right to Publix and got my money orders with a Debit card with no issues.
