I've never felt such a warm and welcoming bank! The people are professional, you are treated with the utmost respect and kindness. I'm so glad I found them! Highly recommend!

I have ALWAYS had a wonderful experience at my Hilo branch. The tellers/staff is professional, friendly and courteous. I have always been greeted by my first name as soon as I walk through the front door. The warmth I felt is a feeling of ohana. I love coming there and definitely recommend Hawaii First Federal FCU. My mother can't walk and the hilo branch was well aware of it. We needed to get her transactions of her account and also put me, her daughter onto her account so I can handle all her banking. The manager nani claims that mom needed to come in regardless of her conditions, so that she can sign electronically. We attempt to bring mom in and she falls and gets hurt. After the fact the damn bank manager nani says that it's okay she don't need to come in. WHAT!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW! MY MOM GOT HURT AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THERE'S EXCEPTIONS THAT CAN BE MADE!! SERIOUSLY THIS HILO BRANCH IS TOTALLY SCREWED!!

Oh man the lady that helped me seemed pretty grumpy. If you cant handle the job stay home and not ruin the customers time there. Seemed racist to me. 5 years i go there and i never experienced that there or any other institutions.

Great atmosphere, staff was very kind! Monique went above and beyond answering all of our questions and made sure we were getting the lowest rate for our loan. Also really appreciate how this bank helps the community via their resource center. This is a bank that is truly there to help the community, they have the best rates in town. Mahalo Nui!
