American State Bank, Osceola, IA

I am very pleased to have my banking accounts with American State Bank. They offer excellent service and are always willing to help you. A great benefit about banking with them is that they offer bilingual services through Jorge Avalos and Annette Garcia. They always have the best attitude to help others!

We were greeted by Sue Turner with a friendly smile. Sue introduced us to Kristi Jones to help us set up our new accounts. Kristi assisted us with opening a checking and savings accounts. Kristi was very thoughtful and a pleasant individual. She made the process so flawless. It was so nice to feel trusted and appreciated.

My family has had accounts at American State Bank for years. Dave Bemis has been a huge help with all of our questions and needs. Not only is he very professional, but he is also kind and extremely helpful. Dave has also worked with me through the Athletic Boosters ordering popcorn bags and providing popcorn. I cannot thank Dave enough for all he has done for us and the student athletes at Clarke. Sandy Carson

I have banked with American State for about 25 years. They employ great people like Melissa Short. She is very knowledgeable about her job. Melissa is respectful, has great mannerisms, and takes her time to make sure all my needs/questions/concerns are dealt with. She is even willing to discuss bank topics outside of the bank environment. When I've had issues arise outside of banking hours, I know I can reach out to Melissa for help. I appreciate her and am happy she's such a great person!

When I became an adult my dad told me, “find a good banker & you will have a good life”. No truer words were spoken. My husband happened upon American State Bank prob 20 years ago. He asked to speak to a loan officer, and it was Marilyn Penick, a VP at the bank. This began the first of many discussions with her. He got the motorcycle loan that day, and we got more loans throughout the years. My husband and I pick up the phone when we need Marilyn’s guidance. The employees of the bank are kind, professional and knowledgeable. We aren’t from Osceola so the few times we need to go into the bank, we look forward to it. Marilyn has trusted us through the years & for that we’ve have had a good life.

Melissa and Mellony both do a great job with customer service. I recently had trouble with my debit card while traveling out of the country and as soon as I contacted them, they fixed it right away. They really helped me out and put my mind at ease. Anytime I have any questions or need help. I know I can contact either one of them and I appreciate both of them very much.
