Peoples Bank, Sioux City, IA

Doing anything digitally is a nightmare. The bank's probably fine if you never want to do anything on a computer or phone, but if you want the easy access of handling your account digitally? Don't plan on it. Stuff like your deposits getting deleted will happen.

This is the only bank I will work with. I've been baking with Cory for over 12 years and he is amazing! Down to earth and don't look down on you for any situation. Best banker ever! Also everyone is so nice and knows you by name not your bank balance!!!

Terrible service here. Was overdrafted on a 1 dollar bottle of water in an econonic crisis and was forced to pay $30 because they refused to lift the penalties. Instead of working with PEOPLE like the name would imply they shut my account and turned me to collections. Great representation there!

Love this bank and everyone that works there. Super friendly and have the feel of a small town bank where everyone knows your name! Highly recommend.

Had a lot of bad or poor experiences with banks so this has already been a refreshing change. Every bank sends out a general automated letter when you open an account, so why post this? First time in decades ANY bank has included personal hand written sentiment. In my book this speaks volumes to the employee commitment to care and customer service. This wasn't necessary but is an appreciated extra effort that brightens my day. For those who don't know, People's Bank has physical locations in North Sioux City, SD and Morningside in Sioux City Iowa among others. Their application was a SINGLE PAGE, it was the fastest and easiest I've ever experienced...especially having mid range credit lol. Additionally it only takes 25$ to open a basic checking account, and you get to choose from several gifts. I selected a nice pair of Bluetooth wireless earbuds that probably cost more than the minimum to open the account. If the experiences early on are any indicator of what's going to be standard moving forward I certainly anticipate being there for life.
